My name I’m Sharon and I’m the General Manager of Business Development at Altius Group. In all, I’ve worked in personal injury and wellbeing for 25+ years and would definitely call it my passion. I also have a strong interest in workplace wellbeing and have spent over 10 years working in this field. My current role involves connecting with new clients and customers who require our services. My role is focused on the growth of Altius services across NT, SA, ACT, and NSW.
I have continued to educate myself throughout my career. I started my career with a BA in Science (physio), gained a Diploma in Front Line Management and I am also a trained mediator. I’ll be continuing my learning journey with a Masters in Mental Health starting this November.
Outside of work I’m a very active person! I love long walks, trail walks and bushwalks, swimming in the ocean, cycling, and yoga. Exercise is part of my every day. I love cooking for family and friends and most weekends do some form of entertaining.
I’m also involved in two Not for Profit boards - one for victims of DV and providing emergency accommodation for women and children in regional NSW, and a Young Regional Conservatorium (providing music education in regional NSW).

I’m particularly proud of the work I have done in articulating HOW we achieve great outcomes in psychological claims and bringing our wide range of psych services into a framework that is more easily understood internally and externally. I also enjoy being part of the SLT (Senior Leadership Team) who are a team of diverse, talented, and inspiring individuals who constantly strive to do better.
On a personal level, I find Altius a wonderful company to work for. I genuinely love the people I work with - there is a great feeling of camaraderie, support, and friendship in the team and a commitment to be the best we can possibly be.
I enjoy solving complex problems for our clients and helping them clearly articulate the issues that are impacting their people. I have a particular passion for service provision in regional and remote Australia and enjoy working with clients to ensure we enable equality of services to all Australians no matter where you live.
In the coming year I look forward to continuing to support our clients with a partnership approach, aiming to support them access the most appropriate services to support their people.
