Job Description

About the Role:
  • Career Consultant for CIM Employment
  • Permanent Full Time – 38 hours per week
  • Based in our Sydney Office and required to work at our Brookvale office as requested
  • Support our candidates with addressing barriers to employment by providing tailored support to obtain and maintain long-term stable employment.
Duties:
  • Support Candidates to address their barriers to employment in a supportive multidisciplinary setting
  • Empower and collaborate with candidates to actively seek realistic and inclusive employment or training options
  • Work with candidates to re-motivate and inspire them to define their career pathways and support them in achieving them
  • Promote new candidate referrals via marketing contacts with local community organisations, training organisations and other referral sources
  • Case management and program compliance
  • Develop and implement individualised Job Plans that reflect the current status of the candidate’s program of support
  • Develop tailored job searching tools and resources include Resumes, Cover Letters and Expression of Interest Letters
  • Actively Job Search on behalf of the candidate by applying for employment opportunities
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Minimum 6 months' experience (strongly preferred) in Disability Employment Services / Job Active / Transition to Work / Parents Next Program
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Employment Services
  • Tertiary qualifications in Disability Employment Services, Vocational Rehabilitation or Administration (preferred)
  • High level of collaboration
  • High level of administration skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Driver’s Licence and Own Transport - essential
  • A high level of integrity
  • Ability to manage a range of tasks simultaneously meeting deadlines and goals
  • Ability to achieve quality outcomes in line with KPIs
  • Strong work ethic
  • Communicate with influence to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to consult, negotiate and problem solve
  • Ability to build key relationships with employers, training organisations and other community services
